“A PLA soldier known as Corporal Wang Ya Long was arrested in the Demchok sector of East Ladakh on October 19, 2020 when he lost his way across the LAC. The PLA soldier has been treated with oxygen, food and warm clothing to protect him from the uncertainties of extreme altitude and harsh climatic conditions.
“The PLA has also received a request from the Chinese military to inquire into the whereabouts of the missing soldier. According to established protocol, the Chinese soldier will return to the Chushul-Moldo meeting at the end of the formalities.
