The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) has issued new guidelines for night duty allowances. The central government has ended the practice of giving night duty allowances to all employees with all grade pay. According to the government, it is an obligation to do night duty between 10 pm and 6 am. The basic monthly salary for night duty allowance will be Rs 43,600. There will be a uniform payment of 10 minutes for each hour of night duty. The government will pay the NDA at the rate of BD DA / 200 per hour. This applies to staff in all ministries and departments. The basic salary and DA for calculating NDA rate will be basic salary is DA as per 7th pay commission. 

Each employee will get their NDA allowance on the basis of basic salary on the day he is doing night duty. What is night duty allowance: Stay. They will get this special allowance excluding night duty, i.e. their regular duty hours. This allowance will be applicable to the employees of each department of the Central Government under the 7th Pay Commission. Such as defense, railways, ordinance health, factories and various other units. The allowance for night duty is paid according to the salary band of the worker.
