 #Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the ‘#StatueofPeace‘ on the occasion of the 151st birth anniversary of Jainacharya Shri Vijay Vallabh Surishwar Ji Maharaj through video conference at 12.30 p.m today.  The 151-inch-tall statue is made of octagonal 8-metal, the main component of copper and has been worked on at the Vijay Vallabh Sadhana Kendra in Jetpura, Pali, Rajasthan.

  Shri Vijay Vallabh Surishwar ji Maharaj, who lived during the period 1870-1954, preached the message of Mahavira intensively and devotedly as a Jain saint and lived a strict life.  He worked tirelessly for the welfare of the people, spread of education, eradication of social evils, wrote inspirational literature and actively supported the freedom movement and the cause of the natives.

  Inspired by him, more than 50 eminent educational institutions, including colleges, schools and study centers, have been established in several states.  The statue in his honor has been named ‘Statue of Peace’.
