 Cyclone Yaas will hit the area on Wednesday afternoon, 

 Kolkata: Cyclone Yaas is going to hit at noon, not on Wednesday evening. According to the Alipore Meteorological Department, the cyclone will hit between 10 am and 1 pm on Wednesday. There is a strong possibility of a collision between Paradwip and the sea.

 According to the Meteorological Office, Cyclone Yaas is currently 600 km away from Port Blair in the Andamans. Cyclone Yaas is located 540 km from Paradwip, 650 km from Balasore in Orissa and 630 km from Digha. Cyclone Yaas was born in the Bay of Bengal on Wednesday morning.

 It is moving towards the land at high speed in the form of a very strong cyclone. During landfall, the speed of Cyclone Yaas can be 155-165 kilometers per hour. It could land in the middle of Digha from Paradwip.

 The Alipore Meteorological Department has already issued heavy to very heavy rain warnings in Kolkata, two Midnapore, North and South 24 Parganas, Howrah, Jhargram and Hooghly districts. Heavy rains have been warned in Murshidabad, Malda, South Dinajpur, Birbhum, Bankura, Purulia and Burdwan on May 26 and 27.
