 About 50 speakers from 25 political parties participated in the Rajjya Sabha debate about the Thanksgiving proposal which lasted more than three days. While 18 BJP members took part in the discussions, seven members of Congress and 25 other opposition party members also spoke up. The debate has centered primarily on protests by peasants with opposition parties demanding the repeal of the three agricultural laws.
