 NEW DELHI: Wrestler Sushil Kumar was arrested early Sunday in Mundka by Delhi police in connection with the murder of former international wrestler Sagar Dhankar at Chhatrasal Stadium in north west Delhi.

 Police discovered that the fight took place in an apartment owned by Kumar in Model Town, where the deceased Wrestler had previously lived. According to police, the late fighter, 23-year-old Sagar Dhankad, previously lived in the Model Town apartment owned by Kumar.

 The ongoing row over the rental of the apartment, which turned into a snowball, turned into a deadly battle after Dhankad abused Kumar. 

During their investigation, police found that Kumar and his associates Ajay, Prince and others named in the FIR, according to Sonu’s testimony, he is on the run and all of his cell phones are turned off. 

Several police teams in Delhi had searched their possible hiding places in Delhi, UP, Punjab and Haryana in order to arrest them.

Police are investigating the possibility that Kala Jathedi gangsters Larence Bishnoi and Neeraj Bawania were involved in the fight, as preliminary results suggest that Kumar and his staff had connections with gangsters. allegedly by Kumar and his staff. 

Sushil Kumar has denied his involvement in the matter. “They weren’t our fighters, it happened last night. 

We informed the police that some unknown people jumped into our facilities and fought. There is no connection from our stadium to this incident,” he told a news agency. 

That night, police also confiscated four vehicles outside the stadium. A double pistol was recovered from one of the cars. One-year-old Prince Dalal, a resident of Jhajjar, Haryana, had a double pistol recovered from him.Sagar Dhankad was the son of a police chief in Delhi.
