Milkha Singh had developed complications such as fever and decreased oxygen saturation.
The 91-year-old, who contracted COVID-19 last month, tested negative for the virus on Wednesday. His wife, one-year-old Nirmal Kaur, who was also infected with the virus, died on Sunday in a private hospital in Mohali.
