 Kolkata: Trinamool Congress minister and former cricketer Laxmiratan Shukla has resigned.  He abruptly resigned from politics on Tuesday.  He has already sent his resignation letter to the Chief Minister.  But he also resigned from the post of co-president of Howrah district.  However, there was speculation as to whether Lakshi Ratan would leave the grassroots and join the BJP.  BJP All India President JP Nadda is coming to Bengal on January 9.  At that time there was speculation that he could join the BJP.
