French President Emmanuel Macron Slapped in France

French President Emmanuel Macron was slapped in the face by a man in a crowd of onlookers as he walkabout through southern France on Tuesday,

 A video of the incident shows. Two people were arrested in connection with the incident, BFM TV and RMC Radio reported.

The incident occurred while Macron was visiting the Drome region of south-eastern France, where he met with restaurateurs and students to discuss the issue. how life returns to normal after Covid-19. 

In a video circulating on social media, Macron can be seen in shirt sleeves walking towards a crowd of supporters who were behind a metal barrier.

To greet a man wearing a green t-shirt, glasses and mask, he was heard shouting “Down Macronia” (“A Bas La Macronie”) and then slapping Macron in the face. 

From Macron’s security command, I attacked the man in the green jersey while another was taking Macron away, but Macron stayed near the crowd for a few seconds and appeared to be talking to someone on the other side of the barriers. He said it tried to attack Macron but declined to comment.
