From Sunday to May 30, Nabanna announced the lockdown of all government and non-government offices, except for those associated with emergency services, for 15 days. 


 It was decided to stop the local train earlier.  This time it was decided to stop bus and metro, and ferry services completely.  Taxis and autos will not run without an emergency.  All educational institutions will remain closed as before.


 At the moment, the daily infection in the state is around 20,000.  Daily deaths are also above 100.  In that situation, the state government imposed strictures for another two weeks.  


Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay made the announcement at a press conference in Nabanna on Sunday.  He said the decision was made keeping in mind the Corona situation.  Accordingly, everyone must abide by the rules.  Otherwise, strict action will be taken under the epidemic law.


 

 According to the announcement made by the state government on the day, only emergency services like health, courts, electricity, drinking water, media, sanitation, petrol pumps, car parts will be available.  Apart from this, all other government and private offices will remain closed.  Shopping malls, spas, cinema halls, gym, swimming pools will also be closed.  The sweet shop will be open from 10 am to 5 pm.


 

 The state government of West Bengal further said that no more than 20 people could be present at the funeral.  No more than 50 people can gather at the wedding.  The bank will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  ATMs will remain open.  


Grocery stores and markets will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.  Hotels and restaurants will remain closed as before.  However food and products can be delivered at home.  All religious and political gatherings will be closed in lockdown.  The tea garden can be kept open with 50 percent staff.  Industries will be closed.  Chatkal will continue with 30 percent staff.  E-commerce will also continue
