After an amazing fourth day of the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham where the Indian team’s medal haul continued. With three more medals won – one silver and two bronze, India is set for day 5, which will see hopes for the biggest medal on Tuesday (August 2) 5th. The day begins with track and field events India made history in lawn bowls by winning a gold medal, making strides and medals in badminton, table tennis, weightlifting etc.
The action starts with lawn bowls from 1pm. The Indian women’s team will play against New Zealand in the pairs and triples categories. From 2 pm onwards, Indian weightlifter Poonam Yadav will be in action in the final of the women’s 76 kg category, likely to win another medal for India in the sport.
Indian women’s force lawn bowls team beat New Zealand to reach final. They will face South Africa at 4.15 pm. The Indian badminton team would go on to win the gold medal in the final of the mixed team event. The work for this will start from 10 pm.
