New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the recently released film ‘The Kashmir Files,’ which has won plaudits from a variety of places.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at a BJP parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday, said the film based on the departure of Kashmiri Hindus is excellent and that everyone should see it. He also stated that more films like this should be produced. The film ‘The Kashmir Files,’ which was released on March 11, is based on the migration of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir in 1990, following the systematic executions of community members by Pakistan-backed terrorists. Attempts to suppress the truth, according to the Prime Minister, were also made.
The critically praised film, written and directed by Agnihotri and produced by Zee Studios, stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, and Pallavi Joshi, among others. PM Modi met with the film’s producers. On Saturday, Agnihotri, Pallavi Joshi, and producer Abhishek Agarwal met with Prime Minister Modi as part of the ‘The Kashmir Files’ team.

Meanwhile, a BJP MLA in Chhattisgarh said on Monday that the Congress government does not want people to view the film “The Kashmir Files,” and threatened to sue if they cinema halls to not sell all tickets to restrict footfalls, a charge rejected by the ruling party as baseless.
Previously, the Kerala section of the Congress blamed the migration of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley on the BJP-backed VP Singh government in the 1990s, as well as then-governor Jagmohan. In response, BJP leaders alleged the opposition party lacked compassion and sympathises with only one community for minority appeasement.
