Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and Finance Minister, presented the Aam Aadmi Party’s eighth budget in the Delhi Assembly on March 26.
For the fiscal year 2022-23, Manish Sisodia set a budget of Rs 75,800 crore. This is more than twice the budget for the previous fiscal year, which was Rs 30,940 crore.
This year’s Delhi budget, according to Sisodia, is a ’employment budget.’
Manish Sisodia, speaking in the Assembly, stated, “This is our eighth budget presentation. Arvind Kejriwal’s seven budgets have improved Delhi schools, made electricity available to everybody, reduced electricity costs, and expanded the metro system. Furthermore, convenience costs have been cut, and citizens no longer have to visit government offices.”
Manish Sisodia said that the AAP government had given permanent jobs to 1 lakh 78 thousand youths in the last seven years. Previous governments, he claimed, had failed to do the same.
Harpal Singh Cheema, the Punjab finance minister, was also at the Assembly for the budget session.
IN 5 YEARS, WE WILL PROVIDE 20 LAKH IN JOBS

According to the finance minister, “In the next five years, we want to boost Delhi’s working population from 33 percent to 45 percent. That is, out of Delhi’s entire population of 1 crore 68 lakh people, we will need to boost the number of individuals who work to 76 lakhs from the current 56 lakh.”
RESIDENTS OF DELHI WITH A HEALTH CARD
Residents of Delhi will be given a health card. This will be linked to voter identification. This will be linked to voter identification. According to Sisodia, Rs 160 crores have been set aside for this project.
The health card will be linked to the family tree and health history. Residents of Delhi will benefit from enhanced health coverage as a result of this.
