Five BSF jawans were slain and another was badly injured in a fratricide incident at HQ 144 Bn Khasa near Amritsar on Sunday, according to Ct Satteppa SK.

Ct Satteppa is also among those who have died. According to BSF officials, the matter has been referred to a court of inquiry.
Ct Satteppa S K, a BSF jawan, opened fire on his colleagues, injuring five. Four of the five injured jawans died, while one is in serious condition, according to the BSF. The injured person is being treated at a local hospital.
Ct Satteppa S K, according to the BSF, was also killed in the incident.
“Unfortunately, 05 BSF troopers were injured on 06.03.2022 owing to fratricide committed,” the BSF said in a statement by Ct Satteppa S K at HQ 144 Bn Khasa, Amritsar.
The event also resulted in the injury of Ct Satteppa S K. Out of the 06 injured personnel, five have died, including Ct Satteppa. “One of the injured is in critical condition.”
According to BSF, a court of inquiry has been appointed to determine the facts, and additional information will be released soon.
