Last chance to Minister Paresh Adhikari. The minister has to appear in the CBI office by 3 pm today. This is the last chance for Minister Paresh Adhikari before the rule is issued. If he does not do so, the court will issue further order after 3 p.m.

As Minister of State for Education Paresh Adhikari did not appear at the Nizam’s Palace on May 26 at 8 pm, Justice Abhijit Ganguly issued the order in a contempt of court case today.

The single bench directed State Minister Paresh Chandra Adhikari to appear before the CBI office by 6 pm on Tuesday on allegations of corruption in the appointment of his daughter to the SSC.

Later that night Paresh Adhikari boarded the train to Kolkata with his daughter. But instead of getting off at Sealdah station in the morning, Sakanya Mantri ‘disappeared’ in the middle. Later in the video footage, he was found at Burdwan station in the morning.

According to railway sources, he took his daughter out in a white car. He has been ‘missing’ ever since. Meanwhile, one and a half days have passed since the scheduled time for appearing.

According to the latest information received from the High Court, the Chief Justice has appointed a division bench of Justice Subrata Talukder to hear the case of State Minister Paresh Chandra Adhikari and his daughter.

The division bench of Justice Talukder will hear all the petitions of the minister and the state. Incidentally, the daughter of the Minister of State for Education was allegedly recruited to the SSC without any personality test.
