Nawab Malik, the head of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday in connection with an alleged money laundering case involving underworld operations.

“Will win, won’t bow down,” Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik stated in response to his arrest. He remarked this as he walked out of the Mumbai ED office.
Today morning, the NCP leader was escorted to the Enforcement Directorate office in Mumbai for interrogation in a money-laundering investigation.
Malik was summoned to the central investigation agency’s headquarters to provide a statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Malik was apprehended just days after the CBI filed a new case and raided Mumbai’s underworld operations.Around ten locations were raided by the ED, including those associated to Dawood Ibrahim’s late sister Haseena Parkar, brother Iqbal Kaskar, and Salim Qureshi aka Salim Fruit, criminal Chhota Shakeel’s brother-in-law.
The arrest of state minister Malik by the ED, according to Maharashtra Congress and NCP officials, was “revenge.”Malik’s arrest, according to Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi, is an act of vendetta politics by the BJP government at the Centre.
