Singer Hirdesh Singh, better known by his stage name Yo Yo Honey Singh, has filed a complaint against a group of four to five unidentified males after being allegedly manhandled at a South Delhi bar on March 27.
Following Singh and his lawyer Ishaan Mukherjee’s complaint of ‘nuisance, misbehaviour, and threat’ on March 28, the Delhi Police filed a FIR.
The incident occurred on March 27 at Skol Club in South Extension-II, according to the police.
Singh was playing at the club on the evenings of March 26 and 27, according to the FIR, when a group of guys forcibly ascended the stage.
‘The 4-5 unknown individuals began misbehaving and disrupting the show,’ according to the FIR.They began throwing beer at the audience and forced the performers onto the stage. Following that, a man in a checkered shirt grabbed my (Singh) hand and began pulling me to the front. I tried to avoid it, but the guy continued to challenge and threaten me. He was also armed, which I noticed. ‘Bhaga Diya Honey Singh ko,’ remarked another person in a red shirt who was filming.
Because of the scenario, the complainant continued, all of the artists, including Singh, evacuated the stage and departed the venue in the middle of the performance. A case has been filed under the sections of causing harm voluntarily, improper constraint, criminal intimidation, and others.
