DA Allowance Centeral Government india

The central government has decided to enhance government employees’ Dearness Allowance (DA) by 3%. The DA has been increased from 31 to 34 percent.

A cabinet meeting of the Union government made the decision.

In the face of rising fuel prices and growing inflation, the increase in Dearness Allowance, or DA, is a welcome reprieve for central government employees. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the growth in DA was halted.

The dearness allowance is granted to central government employees to help them cope with the effects of inflation on their pay. Employees and retirees alike can benefit from it.

The previous dearness allowance for union government employees and pensioners was 31 percent, and the 3 percent increase announced in the meeting raised the DA to 34 percent. About 50 lakh government employees and 65 lakh retirees will profit from this move.

The most recent DA rise occurred in October of last year, when it was raised from 28% to 31%. Employees used to receive an 18k dearness allowance from the government, but that amount will now be increased to 24,000 as part of the recently announced DA Hike.
