An Air India Express Calicut-Dubai flight was diverted to Muscat after a burning smell was detected in the cabin
New Delhi, Jul 17 (PTI) Air India Express’ Calicut-Dubai flight was diverted to Muscat on Saturday night after a burning smell was detected in the mid-air of the cabin, aviation regulator DGCA officials said on Sunday.
A burning smell was coming from a vent in the forward galley and the pilots tried to turn the plane towards Muscat and land it safely, officials said.
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officials have started an investigation into the incident, officials said.
