New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Delhi chief minister, broke his silence on Kumar Vishwas’ explosive allegations against him on Friday, alleging that a plot is being hatched to prevent his party from winning the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.
He claimed in a news conference that all of the Opposition leaders have banded together to attack the Aam Aadmi Party because they don’t want it to win and instead elect an honest man like Bhagwant Mann as Punjab’s next chief minister.
“I’m struck by how similar the language used against me by these leaders is. These claims were first made against me by Rahul Gandhi, and later Prime Minister Narendra Modi used the same language. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Charanjit Singh , Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Singh Channi followed suit,” he said.
“”Then one day, a poet made some claims against me, and all these Opposition leaders began calling me a terrorist,” he continued.
If he was a terrorist, what have these security services been doing all these time, the Delhi chief minister said.
“The Congress has been in power for three years and the BJP has been in power for seven years in the last ten years. Why was there no action taken against me if I was attempting to divide the country into two parts? Why haven’t they started an investigation yet? “He inquired.
Arvind Kejriwal launched a stinging attack on the opposition, claiming that there are two types of terrorists in the world: those who terrorize the public and those who terrorize the corrupt and thief politicians.
“I am a terrorist for these corrupt and thieving politicians who are afraid of me,” he said in a sharp rebuttal.
The Delhi CM’s reaction comes a day after Kumar Vishwas, one of the AAP’s founding founders, said that Kejriwal has ties to separatists and that he wants to be “either Punjab’s chief minister or the first prime minister of Khalistan.”
