Kolkata: The SSC scandal is putting increasing pressure on the state. Former Education Minister Partha Chatterjee appeared at the CBI office in Nizam’s Palace yesterday in connection with the case.

Since then, one dramatic turn after another has been seen in this case. Sukant Majumder resigned from the post of SSC chairman yesterday. He was replaced by AAS Shuvro Chakraborty.
But why Sukanta Babu abruptly resigned, is still unclear. Meanwhile, the CBI officials went to the newly constructed building of Acharya Sadan with him. He was accompanied by two other high-ranking officials.
As soon as this news came out, a new pressure was created in the administrative circle. The CBI claims that “everything is under the direction of the court”.
