Earth Hour 2022 will take place on March 26 at 8.30 p.m. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) India’s interwoven life has urged people’s help to make the conservation movement a success.
This year’s Earth Hour theme is “Shape our Future,” which represents the ongoing process of adjusting to the new normal brought on by Covid-19.
The Earth Hour India hymn, written by Harmony and Hope Ambassador Shantanu Moitra and singer Mohit Chauhan, will provide support to the event.
According to the WWF, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Bangalore Apartment Federation, and the Forest Department have all backed the effort.
”This year, community radio stations are broadcasting the success stories of local conservation heroes,’ according to the organisation, emphasising the importance of every citizen becoming a conservation hero.
What is Earth Hour, exactly?
‘Earth Hour is a global grassroots movement connecting people to take action on environmental issues and protect the planet,’ according to the WWF website. At the end of March each year, non-essential lights and other electrical appliances are turned off for one hour. The goal of this interwoven life is to increase awareness of energy conservation and climate change.
