Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, has issued an ultimatum to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, stating that if the leader does not reduce the price of a 10kg wheat flour bag to Rs 400 within the next 24 hours, he will sell his clothes and provide the people with the cheapest flour.
“I reiterate my words,” the PM said during a public meeting at Thakara stadium on Sunday. “I would sell my outfits and provide the cheapest wheat flour to people.”
The PM’s address to the people echoed the political fervour at the public assembly. He singled out former Prime Minister Imran Khan, claiming that he was responsible for the country’s highest-ever inflation and unemployment rates. Shehbaz also slammed Imran Khan’s leadership, claiming that despite promising to build five million houses and create ten million jobs, Khan failed and plunged the country into a recession.
Shehbaz declared during the gathering, “I solemnly declare in front of you that I would lay down my life to set this country on the path to wealth and growth.”
The Prime Minister, speaking on the Balochistan elections, said that people have faith in him and came out to vote in his favour.
“People of Balochistan flocked to polling places in droves, and as I predicted, voter turnout remained between 30 and 35 percent, demonstrating people’s faith in democracy and legal reform and order,” he added.
Shehbaz blamed former Prime Minister Khan for Pakistan’s current condition of affairs, which is still beset by rising fuel prices. “Imran Khan, who humiliates everyone in public, reduced petroleum product prices at a time when rates were rising all over the world after realising he would be ousted from power by a no-confidence motion,” he said, according to the media portal.
Moreover, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif screamed compliments for his father, previous Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, throughout the event.
“Even though I had backache, I travelled to visit you and enjoyed the entire motorway ride as I remembered Nawaz Sharif’s passion for people and this country,” Sharif added.
Maryam Nawaz, the PML-vice N’s president, also spoke at the event on Sunday. She praised her father Nawaz Sharif’s patriotism while mocking Imran Khan’s ‘Haqiqi Azadi March.’
“Your government’s financial and other resources are being spent on such a fruitless march…

“A revolution couldn’t be sparked by such safe rides,” she explained. (ANI)
