Shaid Afridi

New Delhi: Indian cricketer Amit Mishra slammed Pakistani player Shahid Afridi for sympathising with the terror mastermind and speaking out against the Indian judicial system just minutes before a Delhi court decides Yasin Malik’s fate.

Yasin Malik, the Kashmiri separatist and founder of the Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), has been found guilty of terror financing and will be sentenced soon. The NIA has asked that the valley’s pro-terrorist face receive the death punishment for his heinous crimes.

Shahid Afridi, a Pakistani cricketer, came out in favour of Yasin Malik, saying that the charges against him were false and that this would not affect Kashmir’s right to self-determination. Taking his anti-India stance further, he urged United Nations to intervene in the matter.

Amit Mishra launched a withering attack on the Pakistani cricketer for sympathising with the terror sponsor.

Amit Mishra responded to Afridi’s tirade by stating that the JKLF leader has pleaded guilty to the allegations in court.
In a tweet, Amit Mishra said, “Not everything is false, like your birthdate.”

Many Pakistani Twitter handles are speaking out against Yasin Malik’s trial, not just Shahid Afridi. Many Pakistani accounts have used social media to express their support for the convicted Kashmiri separatist.

Despite the fact that Malik has admitted to organising funding for terror acts in the valley, including stone pelting on security officers, targeted killings of innocent civilians, and declaring war on India, he continues to be held in high regard.
