Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022 in Delhi on Monday. Disbursement of 12th installment of PM-KISAN Fund.

Two day event – Venue Indian Agricultural Research Institute. To be held – will bring together over 13,000 farmers where PM Modi will release the 12th installment of the Rs 16,000 crore PM-KISAN fund.

Along with this, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate 600 Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSK), fertilizer retail shops will be gradually converted to PMKSK.

“Our government is committed to making life easier for food donors. Along with inaugurating the Kisan Samman Sammelan in Delhi tomorrow at 11:30 AM, I will deliver the 12th installment of PM-KISAN. On this occasion you will have the privilege of launching many more schemes,” PM Modi tweeted ahead of the event

More than 13,500 farmers and around 1500 agri startups across the country are participating in this event. Where more than one crore farmers from various organizations are said to be present. The conference will be attended by researchers, policy makers and other stakeholders, an official statement said.

The 12th installment of the Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Fund will be disbursed. As part of the Rs 16,000 crore scheme, more than 8.5 crore eligible farmers will go into accounts. It aims to provide benefits of Rs. 6000 per year in three equal installments. Eligible farmer families will get 2000 rupees. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister told the farmers that any eligible farmer in the audience could have already received the money in their bank account during his speech.

The Prime Minister also launched the ‘Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Urbarak Plan‘ – One Nation, One Fertilizer – at the same stage. Under this project, ‘Bharat Urea Bag‘ is being launched. This will help companies market fertilizers under a single brand called “Bharat”.

“This will be done in reflection of the prime minister’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of farmers,” the statement said. 2 lakh crore eligible farmers benefited under PM-KISAN.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Agri Startup Conclave and Exhibition where around 300 startups will get an opportunity to showcase their innovations related to precision farming, post-harvest allied agriculture and value addition solutions, waste to wealth, mechanization for smallholder farmers, supply chain management, RG. Logistics, among others.

This platform will help startups connect with farmers, agro-experts, FPOs, corporates, etc. Startups will share their experiences and with other stakeholders in technical sessions.

The Prime Minister also launched an e-magazine on fertilizers, ‘Indian Age‘. It will provide information on recent price trend analysis developments, price trend analysis, availability and usage, success stories of farmers in India and international fertilizer situation.
