After a 32-year-old UPSC aspirant accused him of raping her, Delhi Police filed a FIR against Nilotpal Mrinal, the winner of the Sahitya Akademi Award.
The case was filed by the victim in the Timarpur Police Station area, according to news agency ANI. She claimed in her complaint that the author abused her for ten years under the guise of marriage.
According to PTI, the woman said in her complaint that she met the accused in 2013 and built a friendship with him.
An FIR was filed against the man in north Delhi based on her accusation under IPC sections dealing with rape and causing harm. According to a senior police officer, the incident is being examined and no arrests have been made yet.

She stated that the accused also called senior police authorities in Madhya Pradesh, who then threatened her.
According to a Hindustan article, the woman is from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. She relocated to Delhi and lived in rented housing for almost ten years. She’s been studying for the UPSC exam in Mukherjee Nagar, north Delhi.
