On Friday, bomb threats were made at two foreign schools on the outskirts of Bengaluru, prompting police to dispatch bomb squads to evacuate the campuses.
The students and employees were promptly evacuated, and the area was blocked off by police.
The bomb threats were sent to the schools’ official email addresses: Ebenezer International School in Hebbagodi police station limits and Vincent Pallotti International School in Hennur police station limits.
As parents hurried to the area, tensions rose on the school grounds.
According to Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Pant, the police department has taken the appropriate action in response to the bomb threats and the matter is being addressed.
The police have started an inquiry to find out who did it has sent the bomb threats. The incident has triggered panic among the parents as SSLC (Class 10) exams are going on in the state.
