KKR vs LSG in the IPL 2022
This is the IPL’s second-highest undefeated partnership, and the third-highest for any wicket.
Jonny Bairstow and David Warner set the record for best opening partnership in the Indian Premier League with 185 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2019.
For Kolkata Knight Riders against Gujarat Lions in 2017, Gautam Gambhir and Chris Lynn scored 183 for the first wicket.
Points Table for IPL 2022
KL Rahul contributed 183 with Mayank Agarwal for Punjab Kings against Rajasthan Royals in 2020, which is now the fourth highest opening partnership in the world.
On Wednesday, the de Kock-Rahul partnership was a statistician’s dream. Behind Chris Gayle and Brendon McCullum, who witnessed the carnage at the KKR camp, de Kock had the third highest individual score in the IPL.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul joined Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan as the third Indian to score 500 runs in the Indian Premier League in different seasons. Unlike Kohli and Dhawan, though, Rahul did so in five consecutive years.
